Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I make an appointment?

A: You can make an appointment by clicking here,  calling, texting or sending a Whatsapp to me on 07885 447171 or by sending me an email to info@pampering4paws.co.uk. When contacting me please do give me as much information you can regarding your dog. (e.g. age, sex, breed or mixes of breeds, coat length, temperament etc.)

Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: Do I need to supply or prepare anything for the groom?

A: All I need is for you to please ensure that your dog has been to the toilet before you arrive, if possible.

Q: Does it matter if I am a few minutes late?

A: Sadly yes it does, I offer a 1:1 service and promise no overlap and therefore if the previous dog has not been collected on time then you may have to wait a few minutes before leaving your dog with me. If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment it is likely that the appointment will be classed as “missed” and you will need to rebook for another time. The fee for the missed appointment will still chargeable as I will not have been able to fill your time slot with another customer.

Q: Are you insured?

Frequently Asked QuestionsA: YES!

Q: Are you trained/qualified?

A: YES! I am a City & Guilds Qualified Dog Groomer.

Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: Will my dog be safe?

A: Yes, the studio is fully enclosed, there will be no other dogs present and I am a qualified dog first-aider.

Q: Can I stay with my Dog?

Frequently Asked QuestionsA: Sadly not. My insurance does not cover anyone other than the named policy holder to be present. Only in extreme cases will I need an owner’s assistance – this is covered in my insurance.

Q: How long does a groom take?

A: It depends on the type of coat and size of dog but please allow 1 – 2 hours for a full groom on an adult dog and between ½ – Frequently Asked Questions1 hour for a puppy. Show clips or dogs that are severely matted may take longer.

Q: Do you do show clips?

A: Yes. I normally groom pet dogs, but do ask if you require a show cut on your dog and we will discuss the options available to you. Show clips do take longer and prices may be more depending on cut.

Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: How often should my dog be groomed?

A: It all depends on the coat type. Most breeds with long or curly coats will need trimming at least every 6-8 weeks.

Q: Do you groom more than one dog at a time?

Frequently Asked QuestionsA: No. My service is strictly one-to-one making it much more stress-free for every dog. The only exception to that rule is when grooming dogs from the same family that are happy to be together as long as you, the owner, is happy for that to happen.
